Fk 70 notes to enter Also remember that to do uk gravity Enduro you need your own personal insurance cover... Or they'll refuse your entry! There is the scottish Enduro at Ae in April, don't think you need personal insurance for that one!

Won't be paying that much for a Mtb race crazy amount of money ..

Notsarkyadam I must admit that's how I think. Almost been convincing myself to have a go at this sort of thing but then had a word with myself. I only got into this sport as a way of keeping fit, I admit I fell in love with it much more than I ever thought I would and have met some good mates through it, I've already done stuff I never intended to and it's still an activity for me predominantly just to keep me out of a boring gym. I only ever meant to get a cheapo HT and do the Cannock blue a couple of times a week! Good luck to you lot that do this sort of stuff but I need to reign myself in a bit! Doing the odd trail centre in Wales is about as much as I'm doing from now on (Snowdon aside which I've already signed up for) No numbers on the bike for this old brummie git

I'm kind of in the same camp when it comes to " events" One of the reasons I got into this was to get away from the crowds ..not join them, so actually paying to join crowds of other folk just goes completely against the grain . For the first 10 years of riding I mainly rode solo or with one other person ..and while now having a fantastic small group of friends that I ride with ..I'm just as happy on my own . I am however looking forward to meeting up with you boys on the " Cumbria Ride " which Adam posted at the end of last year ...so hope this is still in your thinking ( Pez ) ?

That's a real good post Hodgy, couldn't have worded that better myself (though it's only been 3 years riding for me). The best ride for me has always been with a couple of 3 or 4 mates or on me tod, like I said fair fecks to the lads and lasses that fancy the racing/event thing but it's just not what I want out of a days riding, I don't even do demo days FFS and avoid the marked trails at weekends like the plague! . As for the Cumbria thing yes mate, be great to ride with you and I'm still up for maybe 1 or 2 trips away from local a year, work allowing of course. This summer I want to go on a few peaks rides but aside from that I'll just be pootling around the Cannock cheekies.

To be fair Jay - you've got to! that bike you are building would be wasted if it was only used around Cannock, IMO. I'm the opposite - I'm determined to go nowhere!

No it wouldn't. If it's being ridden it's not being wasted.. I've got a whole country to explore and that's what I plan on doing
