I've been in dialogue with Dave Cutts, co founder of Bird bikes and I'm sold on them. Fledgling UK bike company set up by actual MTB'ers, like us. I love the customer service that you can plainly see and the transferrable warranty is ace. Bikes ain't bad either :)After hearing of the 'don't give a shit' attitude that seems to be prevalent at On One and also admittedly wanting to try something different, it's mind made up. So, I'll be getting a Zero of some description, question is - which colour? (I am that shallow) need some help! This? or this

Don't know ...doesn't lend itself to an overweight female riding one though ...fat bird on a bike .... Is that the only colour choice ..or have you narrowed it down to that ?

No mate it's the only colours they do at the mo for the HT. Ought to add (Nelly) that it won't be having Pikes or Revelations, above my budget - will have X fusion Sweeps (black or white fork - normal 'silver' stanchions)

I did notice the similarity to the Merida though the bird has a slacker head tube angle and is 27.5. I am leaning towards the blue I must say, though I will be arranging a test ride ( they have their own 10k 'bird' loop behind the factory! ) so I'll decide for certain when I have seen one in the flesh. Quite excited tbh, more I speak with them the more I like what they have to say, almost endless options for the full bike and Adam, the full suss looks bloody lovely!

Tough choice. The blue is more subtle but the yellow/pink is suits the bike more I think. So yellow.

Don't apologise mate - it would be bloody boring if we all liked the same bike. I love the look of it - shame there isn't more colour options but they also said they don't want to flood their bikes with too many colours/changes early on because, as bikers themselves, they get pissed off with buying a brand new bike and then having it become 'last years model' almost immediately. Basically, I just really like what they have to say. I love the look and spec of the HT's, I would be more than happy to buy off these fellas as I believe they do actually give a shit about their brand and will back any warranty. I know I'm making the right move as I am genuinely excited about test riding one and then hopefully owning one. I just wasn't feeling the excitement for the Evo so that tells me all I need to know. I'm calling them later this morning to see about a test ride.
