Am I the only one who can't see the issue with the tyre and rim brands not being lined up Probably.. I'm seriously thinking I might remove the decals and place new ones in the PROPER position! You mental? Just deflate, spray the bead with soapy water and yank it round really hard

Nah, just yank the tyre round the bead, re inflate and shake it all around again

Am I the only one who can't see the issue with the tyre and rim brands not being lined up This^ What am I supposed to be looking at? I see a rim and a tyre, what's wrong with it? Jay the bike looks motherfeckin awesome by the way, loving the stealth and it just looks the absolute beast it is - nice one! You should have bought the wheels to me yer daft get! I'd have done it for nothing (well, maybe a pint at The Horns) I did mine in about 20 minutes each!

Nah, just yank the tyre round the bead, re inflate and shake it all around again This ^ again. You can let down tubeless tyres no probs and even pull the rim from the bead! the shoite just runs to the bottom of the tyre via the gift of gravity and just lies there until the tyre starts rotating again!

Thats one sweet looking ride that, and those forks look one tasty piece of hardware. You're not on your own, the tyre would mess with my equilibrium as well

Both my tyres are nowhere near the DT Swiss decals - they can stay that way an all!

I believe the theory of lining the tyre/rim in a certain way has more to do with valve position but it goes like this. you get a puncture. take tube out and find puncture site. overlay the tube on the outside of the tyre so that it`s in the same position as it was when it was fitted. match up the puncture site on the tube to the tyre. check tyre for thorn, nail, glass or whatever. it`s not so relevant since the advent of tubeless but I try to get mine matched up between rims decals and tyre logo.why?.....cos I`m a tart and it just looks neater

Thanks all It's been a very long process (as you all know) but I'm so glad I waited and got the parts I really wanted, it makes all the difference when it's complete. I'll be doing the hoses etc tomorrow morning before work. I'll probably get a few hours on it to set-up suspension and lever positions etc before FoD on the 7th I must admit, I do love the way it looks. I'm glad I opted for black rather than the raw finish I originally wanted. I still plan on getting Enve rims but that will take a while, a few months maybe. I'll also be getting one of the new, shorter Enve stems

Nelly.. It'll be interesting to see how you like the way it rides.
Just wondering how much difference the extra travel makes.
I've still got the Muckynuts fender but there is no room to fit it. The space between the tyre and the fork bridge is almost none existent.

Mate that looks amazing, and nobody will notice the brake adaptor they'll be too busy drooling over the rest of your bike.

Be interesting to compare both bikes, both are almost identical specs apart from the suspension
However a comparison can never be made by me as I wouldn't want to be the one that crashes and scratches it lol
Seeing yours has motivated me to get mine out and clean it, still caked in a day's worth of Welsh mud

I'll probably cry when it gets scratched. If it happens at FoD, expect me to storm off to the car and sit there pet lipped for the rest of the day.
As much as I love having a clean bike, I'm not one for cleaning them. The 456 went to Whinlatter covered in mud, came back with a bit more mud and after 22 miles on Cannock Chase today, has more mud attached.
We had a freaky hailstorm earlier so I just left the bike out in it hoping it would clean it up a bit hahaha.. Didn't work!
