Sincerley Thanks a lot guys for showing me around those fantastic trails today I thoroughly enjoyed it, not the tree (thats a different story).
Its odd but my Strava shows nearly 300ft less climbing than Kev, unless you climbed a bit before I got there. Also a few odds times in theres as well maybe I must have stopped before I got to the marker.
Was the now infamous tree/root descent the one called secret section at the end of Bitch, im guessing it is as I finished a few minutes behind you both!!!LOL.
Pretty pleased on some of the good bits to only be a second or two behind on my first outing, on others you can clearly see Kevs a speed demon as hes 15 to 20 seconds quicker. The boy can move!!!!!! Enjoyed watching Euan gain some Impressive height of some of those jumps, also no slouch.
Great day and I hope to get up there again over summer.
Ill probably get the clips up over the weekend. It seems to take me ages to edit and even longer to upload to youtube.

I have to say though, for someone who's never done those trails before you done yourself proud. If you want to head up again some time then just give us a shout

Not got round to the clips yet but somehow the gopro decided to take some photos, I havent set it up taht and Ive not had them before so dont why its suddenly happened. Anyway rather luckily some of them are okay, a few action shots of Euan and a good close up of the offending tree. The tree I decided to hug. You can see its kind of steep down there.

Bloody perverts! Before anybody says anything it was a random photo amongst my gopro files.
Steormy, Its got some similarity to Gisburn in that theres varied terrain, twisty sections through tight woodland, rockier areas. I would say that theres far more choice of good fun bits and they are also longer in length. I rode something like 10 great sections yesterday and I know theres much more whereas Gisburn has 3 good and a couple of okay bits on the main trails. Facilities are all top notch pretty much in the vain of CYB. Certainly worth a 2 or 3 day trip combined with Innerlaithen from any where in the UK whereas Gisburns worth maybe an hour and half drive.

We climbed up to the last climb before spooky woods but cut off to the left before that to do EWS/HO CHI MIN then down zoom or bust then back up to do the best of the red (spooky woods then 2 sections after, back up to do double x, the bitch, super steep (another ews part ) then back up to finish off with falla brae, all dry n fast, good to get a day in and all you do afterwards is dust your bike down, no mud !
