In the British Isles? ..No trail centres or man made downhills ... I have a feeling that Snowdon's Rangers Path might feature heavily at the end of the month ...lol My top 3... 3.Cut gate ...to Langsett Resevoir ..done in perfect dry & dusty conditions each time I have ridden it and super fast with lots of line choices ..I have a vision of a setting sun on the left of the valley which is never far from memory from a lads trip away a few years back ..and Cheshire Cat grins all around ! 2. Bowderdale ..still fresh in the memory from last week ..again I have always been lucky with the weather with 3 of my 4 visits in near perfect conditions ..fast in places ..technical throughout 7km of mountain bike perfection 1.Torridon ..Annat descent . Set in some of the most spectacular peaks in the whole of Europe this has got the lot ...granite slabs , lochans, rock gardens , streams and sweet sweet skinny singletrack ..if this doesn't put a smile on your face then nothing will .. A couple of vids ...which I don't feature in ..Danny did invite me but I was busy that week ...haha!
Torridon is on this episode ..

To many to chose from really, i'm currently liking hope brink to edge farm in the peaks as its fast and flowy.
I'd like to think Helvellyn was good but it was quite nervy coming off the summit down towards sticks pass, very loose and virtually a straight line down.
The drop off the back of Whinstone lee tor is excellent too as steep as fk, but fully rideable.
Edit: Wilderswood at rivington would also be a contender for me, it's fast, loose, flowy, and twisty.

Minton Batch is quite nice. There is another one over the Shropshire Hills, no idea what its called but you finish off going through a stream and into a town.

Your mention of Helvellyn brought back memories of one of the toughest rides I have undertaken ..not least because the day was searingly hot ..in memory of my riding buddy's close friend who lost his battle with cancer at a very early age ..we did the full range Check out the bikes man ..cutting edge 2005 hardtails ! ..sorry ..slightly off topic !

Macky could you send me a link to strava segment o something which shows the Wilderswood, my appetite is definitely wetted to find it, however I may realise I know the section but not the name. How long is it roughly?
My own favourites so far would be Gorple gate down to Hurstwood for speed and popping off the water bars, Blue pig Hebden Bridge starting from Heptonstall down past the front doors of the cottages ending at the blue pig club. San Marino is pretty good along with Darwen Tower front reservoir side again for speed and a reasonable but calf numbing length.
I m keen to sample Borrwodale, Snowdon and some others around the lakes and then I'm sure I will change my order.

It's in my strava from yesterday on the club page, its called pike rd to brownlow rd, if you can't get it off that let me know and I'll sort a link out later as i'm at work at the moment.

Minton batch is a good one bit narrow well the trail is , and it's just begging to dump you on your arse with a front end wash out like I did ... Cut gate down to Lang sett on a dry hot day is a cracker The beast ... Trying not to dab .. But it's not single track .. ... Hmm lots of little single tracks that are short n sweet that still bring a smile to my face

I checked it out Macky and I know exactly where you mean now, I didn't know it had a name before but I have been down there with Mike a couple of times, its the one with a little drop off right at the bottom before you swing a right. Good but a shame its only a short section.

oooohhh! trails can change and one that can be ace on one day might be an absolute bugger on another day. I really like the little stretton descent on the long minge...sorry.. mynd another little known one from last year on the peak to peak ride, heading down oxlow rake to old dam. it was brilliant for no special reason other than on that particular day conditions were perfect, and it made an average trail into a brilliant fast flowing one. couldn't see the rider in front of me for dust. then the ones hodgy mentions, annat, cutgate but in the opposite direction towards slippery stones.walna scar, llarig ghru in the cairngorms

Llarig Ghru ..still to do ! I've danced all around that one in the Cairngorms ..been spitting distance away from it on family holidays ( Hilton just down the road ) ..where I wasn't allowed to bring my bike ..getting to the stage where I'm wondering if I ever will ..

Wilderswood is good, enjoyed walna scar to torver and the run down the side of wessenden reservoir to Marsden couple of miles long and great fun. Darwen tower all the way down and through the royal fields then tockholes woods always a good end to a ride up there. Plenty more I haven't tried yet but are on the bucket list

I always enjoy the descent from Iron Keld down to Skelwith bridge in the Lakes. There's a bit of everything, rocks, grass, singletrack, loose stones, stream crossings, drops etc. I'm sure there's better in the Lakes and I'll hopefully ride a lot more of them this year.

Mine has got to be a coastal path which none of you lot will know about and care about! But to me, it was one of the first bits of off road 'trail' i ever descended!
It is awesome, you climb up from the beach, before descending for about a mile along a twisty and fast singletrack, all while overlooking the sea! The sunrise / sunsets are awesome up there, especially as the sun rises over the fields and sets over the sea! During the summer, the dusty dirt is perfect, as you hop over roots and carve your way down to sea at warp speed! I hold the KOM for the segment, mainly because i rode it soooo much!
Unfortunately, some of the 'cliff' eroded from it last year, and its been shut since, however i've emailed the council and they are in the progress of rerouting that section and they said it should be open again come summer! I cannot wait. When its done, i will sure get some GoPro footage of it!
