I'm still buzzin ..this last week has been truly fantastic ...three great Arran rides topped off by a Cumbria cracker !
We are lucky enough doing what we do that 99.9% of the population just don't realise how good this is ...a blessing really or they might well have to put traffic lights on the trails !

Great ride Neil, thoroughly enjoyed it and good to meet Glynn and Barry. Hope the back has settled down Barry, did you mean to miss the A69 turn off? Or were you going north for a secret rendezvous. Glynn your no slouch up or down, good to put a face to the name too. Graham shame you dropped the chain between cassette and spokes so close to the cars, hope you got it sorted now, I should of stopped to help but thought it would be a minute to fix.
So many thanks to you all for another great day out and you Neil for organising us all.

Me and Bazza made a detour (haha, nah we really did miss the A69..!) but we checked out the desecration of what was Carlisle airport.. blimey! they aren't half shifting a lot of muck there.. Is this all Stobart's doing? Saw a couple of great airshows there in the 80's, stood at the downwind end of runway (outside the fence) and got a hairdrier from a Blackburn Buccaneer and an English Electric Lightning. Also got blown off my feet by a Hercules doing a short take-off.
Saw Barry today, his back seemed not too bad but that may have been an act because he told me not to mention it to his missus or she'd really kill him!
Haven't looked at the bike yet but I suspect the chain must have got twisted, it was jammed in really tight and I had to wrench and haul hard to get it out. Must have bent the mech or hangar on the Grizedale descent for it to have pinged off inside of big cog. Also seem to have a steady air leak in the back tubeless, hope I've not dinged the wheel rim. All to be sorted before Scotland!

You have broken every rule in the (un)-written book by jumping straight onto a thread without going onto the introduction section first ..and the word on the trails is that Big Euan ..the fearsome jock administrator had unleashed two of his moderators to hunt you down ...Pulledbyamalamute and ( Sir) Duke ..the first one's dogs will tear every bit of flesh from your bones ..pray that this happens because the alternative is to be caught by ( Sir) Duke ..death by Stevie Wonder ..yes gaffa taped to a chair and forced to listen to " isn't she lovely " until you have gone insane !
The good thing is that no-one knows that your real name is Barry ..and that you live in the Hexham area so that should buy us some time ..but the only way to appease these people is to do the following :-
1.dress only in Lycra bib shorts with a balaclava covering your face
2. Lower the left strap and cup your left breast with your right hand
3. Dangle your right testicle from the bottom of the shorts
4. Set up a video camera
5. Record while sitting on a chair repeating the mantra " gunner is a banker" ( or similar) for 30 mins.
Post on the vid section of this forum & also YouTube ..and only when it has gone viral will it be safe to emerge from your hiding place .
