I realised the other day that the 20 th is a Sunday whereas the original al Whinlatter and most forum rides tend to be Saturdays.
So is the Sunday definately the right day. I'm okay for both by the way but Saturdays easier as the kiddies are busy in clubs etc.

I thought as we are riding a trail centre with a dozen or so good sections I might test out the Matesrace enduro type self creation site. It works with Strava pulling through selected sections and shares your profile settings so you can set up or enter an event by your strava club. So for a test and a bit of a laugh I've set up an event that anybody that fancies it can enter, if you have any device or mobile that you can track via strava on the day your times over 5 chosen sections will be recorded and totalled. Its hopefully a bit fairer than a real enduro as it may not count stoppages for mechanicals, well have to see. If you fancy it just enter below, if you cant be arsed with the hassle or bother using strava or don't want to feel the race pressure then fair dos don't bother. Ill just be going my usual pace but interested to see how it stacks up. www.matesrace.co.uk/event/5061You may need to join the forum strava club, MTB-UK For those that aren't familiar with the sections myself or one of the other frequent visitors will be able to point out the section before we start it and advise of the start and likely finish point. These are all standard strava segments on the waymarked trail, I haven't gone for any off piste sections. or am I acting as official event organiser or guide (legals taken care of).

Seems like a good idea but to be honest it's not really my kind of thing John, I don't use strava never seen the point in it. I'll just do the sections as I would normally. (Except whilst eating mince pies on the way round)

The hub car park is BB7 4TS
There's a toilet block there, it's always good for those travelling a distance to know they can take a leak when you arrive rather then needing to visit an edge just before hand.
There maybe a food/drink truck bits it's some random guy and he may be taking an early crimbo.
I'll let those that are travelling the furthest decide the time, it should only take a couple of hours or three hours for stoppages and adding a few more bits in but my best to start at least by 11am.
