Just to add some clarity after having two rides mixed up in the Calderdale thread. This will be a combination of loops around the Rivington area on Thursday the 19th November , suggested start 10am. meet up on Rivington road which is a left at the black dog pub on the a675 Belmont. The car park is on the left after passing a small res as you climb up Belmont road, it's shown on the far left on the map below. www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Rivington+Rd,+Belmont,+Bolton+BL7+8AD/@53.6355045,-2.4993129,17z/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x487b0a16c91fd5a3:0xefd7715d928e6dee From here it's a fairly short road climb up to the lanes that lead upto rivington Pike. It means we can finish with the San Marino descent and only have a bit of a climb up afterwards. speaking of the San Marino here's a clip of some geezer going down there earlier this year. So far we have myself, Glynn, Gaz and Andy. Any one else fancy it? |

Should be fine mate if we start at 10am, should be 3.5 to 4 hours max, even if we get back to the cars at 2.30/2.45 which will be 4.5 hours you should be okay. I need to do the school collection as well so need to be away at the same time.
If anybody wants to start any earlier to avoid traffic problems let me know.

Well see what time Gaz and Glynn are happy to start at as they have the furthest to travel, Im not sure if theres a benefit to starting a bit earlier to avoid peak tiem traffic at the start of the journey up or if starting a little later allows to miss it.

I'll be dropping the Mrs off about half 8 anyway, says it's about an hour from Halifax so I'll set straight after dropping her at work. |

Not sure how great the M62 is at the time of the morning though, you might be better heading over the back way towards Colne/Burnley and then pick up the M65 and come off after Blackburn for the a675.

9.45am ready to get cracking would be good, if we aim for that then if anybody gets stuck in traffic and are 30 minutes late it will still be fine. There's just not much to do at this meetng point.
