Graham ...thanks for the post and also the e-mail ...
So far I have also heard from Karl and Colin who also are unable to make this ...Paul doesn't get back from London until 10.00 pm on Friday ..and won't have his new bike for another month or so ( but hasn't as yet ruled this out ) ..
Really just waiting to hear from Dave & Jean ..but my own thinking is that it might well be an idea to postpone the ride ..

I think Id rather also follow suit and duck out early than last minute. having spent a few days wet to the bone and rather chilly I think I would prefer to risk a more local ride where ive got an half hour ride home before a hot shower than a couple of hours. the prospect of a long ride with potentially numerous stops is also a bit daunting at the moment, I think the problem is at the moment we've been relatively spoilt by a better than usual October and now its hitting us hard with many bouts of cold or just feeling generally under the weather, its much harder to get motivated to get out there let a lone plan for a long journey and long ride where you can't just nip back to the car if your feeling rough.

Just spoken to Jean and think it would be a good idea to postpone as so many can't make it. Early in the new year maybe when the days start to get longer.
