You could actually be THE guy who actually has the Thomson, the Reverb, the KS Lev and another one...and then put the argument to rest once and for all from actual experience/testing...even though we all know the Gravity post is the most reliable of all?! I don't know how can you decide which bike to ride?! LOL...i can't have too many choices in life...its not good for me...LOL

Wheels look great as they are. That is one hell of a bike seems a shame to get it dirty.

LOL I guess the decals match the hubs and if i were to remove them the hubs would look a bit "odd"...but thanks for your opinion. ps- what is the image on your avatar, if you don't mind me asking? or better, who? Looking really good, most excellent choice of wheels as well.
The polished chrome look hubs will sit nicely with the frame colour. The decals felt like they would be a bastard to get off.
They clean up really easily and look new after each ride. Make sure evans give you the bearing tools so you can nip them up or loosen them as when or how you like them. It's a little plastic spanner that fits in four small indentations in one side of the hub which hold the cone in effect one way whilst you tighten with a spanner on the other side.

Thanks mate...appreciated...I actually have 2 of those spanners since these are my second pair of ST's...before I bought them I read loads of nice things about them...but these have the white hubs...the XL's are the ones with the chrome hubs...I considered those but got these cheaper...the XL's are apparently a development of these with a little few grams less! I had the 29er version and they were great...the only problem with Croasmax is that it gets expensive if you damage a rim or spoke!

Sorry I thought I saw a glint of chrome/silver in your pick. I picked some up for 400£ with the tyres which I've ditched until summer. The hubs look mint after every cleaning they look lid new. I got a couple of spares for each spoke length from a store down South, were just over a pound each I think. I've read list of reviews and it seems the spokes rarely break but if you crash hard enough I'm sure they can break.

On the 29er I was coming down on a road in town and did a bunny hop over a kerb...however it went horribly wrong...the rear wheel hit really really hard on the edge of the kerb, bent the rim, air leaking...but it didn't crack the rim or break any spokes tho, which for the brutality of the hit, is a great testimony of their robustness. The guys at Evans were really kind to build the new rim with my spokes and hub for 100 I think...the rim alone is 80-90 quid! A set of spokes would have been 60 because apparently you can't buy them individually...if you know a place, please let me know for me to buy a couple!

I'll check if I still have the delivery note next time I'm in the garage, I think I kept it with the spokes in case I need any more.

You want to be called Gonçalo to understand what it feels like having people calling you all sorts of shit! Gets to a point that I don't even correct anymore! It's just a bit harsh when it comes from the missus!?
