I'm good for a 10 meet up.
If any of the southerners want to meet up at end of m66, or along the way to save some of your driving then let me know.

by the way john, isnt the capra a do it all bike? me and gonzalo know someone who rides sherwood pines on a capra, i would have thought the lakes would be perfect for it

I suppose you Can do most thing on most bikes but some rides it could be overkill and a bit of a pain if the climbs are more severe than the downs.
I think I'll give it a ride out anyway as the other needs some work.
Btw it's definitely overkill for sherwood pines but if you only have one bike then ride it every where and once in a while it may even be tested a bit more.

Today i rode with someone on one! And we did a lot of climbing!? If a ride at the Lakes is not appropriate for the Capra, you may as well sell it! I'm sure you will be fine

That's still to come Scott..I have been trying to organise it for this month too ..but it seems that loads of our local group are away ..so more likely to be early October .. As long as it's not pissing down that should be OK as it's a year round trail..being mainly rocky in nature . Keep looking..and hope you get your bike soon..

It's a figure of 8 loop ...it goes off one map onto the other then back again ..it's numbered 1 to 15 ..( without looking) ..which is short of the start finish but according to Graham who produced them he couldn't have the same finishing point ..and we ain't going to get lost !

That's the beauty of revisiting Hawkshead half way around the ride..you can top up on supplies if needed ..
