This has proper knocked me about. Me and iRide were there, helped to get the paramedics to her. She was only 10, her Dad and 2 sisters were there and had to see it all. I've been waiting for absolute confirmation all afternoon but it looks like it's true. Going to take a while to get the sight of her Dad and sisters (they were only babies too) all on their knees and hugging while the paramedics were at it. Just a Dad and his 3 girls, all on their little pink bikes having a bimble while Dad walked beside them, this sort of shit should just never happen. Another couple of lads were there first and the one poor sod had to do CPR waiting for us to get the paramedics there. FFS.

It's not a sight I'll forget for a very long time.. What worries me (and maybe it's a bit selfish) is that had we been just a couple of minutes earlier, we'd have been doing CPR on the little girl!
As soon as we saw that there was no need for us to be there, we left. My god I needed a fag at that cafe!!

Such sad news. Never good to hear, never mind witness, especially when its a child. My thoughts go out to the family, 3specially the other kids who witnessed such a sad event.

Just want to say also - that this isn't absolutely confirmed yet? I know how facebook and the like works, not having a go but just saying, it might well be true but the sis-in-law is a local paramedic and the wife now works for the Ambulance service as well so until they get into work tomorrow it's not nailed on. Straw clutching perhaps but I've seen this sort of thing before - fingers crossed.

This sort of thing puts life in to perspective, alive or not its still very very sad as no child should have to have these sport of issues.........

Poor bairn, not even started her life yet.
As a farther of 2 I could not imagine loosing any of mine. I would hate to see that unfolding in front of me, I think that would haunt me for quite some time.
sad, very sad indeed!

We did everything we could. A lad was already on the CPR (I echo iRide here, I was glad it wasn't me) so we rode back to the paramedic who was on foot, I tried to get him to jump on my bike to get there quicker but the bloke is a professional and knew what he was doing, he just pointed at the circling helicopter and said 'they'll get there before me anyway' It's the feeling of being helpless that's the worst, the lad on CPR was doing it right and didn't need help. I'm confident the little girl was given every chance, it was a Sunday and busy, she was receiving CPR within seconds of going down. The emergency staff, as ever, were brilliant. I know that me and Jay didn't speak for a long time when we came away and had a coffee, as the air ambulance took off we both said a silent prayer. It's wank at times, life is. I won't forget the picture of the Dad and his other daughters for a very long time. The poor fuckers.
Don't really know what else to say, still waiting news from the Wife. I admit it's got to me, shed a few tears last night, must have affected me a lot worse than I thought.

How is it fair for a 10 year old to die? How is it fair for kids to die? One of my ex's a few years ago, her brother died and it affected her so much. Must have been awful for her. Life just isn't fair is it??
