Haven't you already bought the forks? If you have, return them, buy these and spend the rest on black jack and hookers. Or family. Your choice.

I'm absolutely gutted right now... I've been offered some Bos Deville forks which are 2014 model and taken off a new bike for a bargain price. They have (apparently) been used twice and then removed! Brand new, they're around £1000! This chap wants £650 for his which are for 650b wheels and are black.. Perfect for what I want.. Christmas has skint me out though... TYPICAL.... AAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Where there is a will there is a way, mbna are doing a 0% balance transfer card, the balance transfer includes transfers to your current account, open it with a transfer to your bank, buy your forks, pay it all off next year, in fact you may as well finish the whole bike!

Only got the frame and drivetrain stuff at the moment. I'm absolutely gutted right now... I've been offered some Bos Deville forks which are 2014 model and taken off a new bike for a bargain price. STOP ENCOURAGING ME TO GET INTO DEBT! Christmas is pretty much paid for now, just the odd bits & bobs to get now. I've got spare money but if I buy forks with it, I'm totally skint I get paid early this month so hopefully I won't lose out on 'em. If my SS bike would hurry the f**k up and sell, there wouldn't be a problem! The fella selling them only lives in Stafford which is pretty much just up the road.. Fingers crossed he'll still have them when I've got the cash. Any ideas on how I would test the forks? They are off the bike now!

Including a Lego train set that cost touching one hundred fuc**ng ponnds! The worst part is that I get no credit what-so-ever for the brilliant presents. That fat beardy cu*t gets all the credit!!

Check travel is full and smooth, rock the lowers to check for excessive movement, ie bushings. Check the stanchion marks, and check the levers switch over to CTD or equivalent... That's what I'd do any how...

STOP ENCOURAGING ME TO GET INTO DEBT! My theory is its not debt if you were going to be spending it anyway, plus your saving loads

STOP ENCOURAGING ME TO GET INTO DEBT! My theory is its not debt if you were going to be spending it anyway, plus your saving loads Pretty much my theory. Yes I have a credit card to now pay off plus all my other bills, but I've got what I wanted and it's made me happy (when it fucking arrives). It's money I would have spent anyway. There's no point wasting life wondering what if, just buy the damn forks and make the rest of us bloody jealous.

Yep, my grandparents spent the last years of the lives paying stupid money for care and help in a home because they were good with money, the old folks next door got the same apartment, same care etc but got it free coz they were skint, what's the point!! As long as your not stupid borrow what you can! Especially now most things have interest free, what's the point of saving for a year and buying something when you can buy it now and pay off the same over a year

I can't get myself into debt, not even just £650 worth. It's like a fear with me! I like the idea of getting paid each month and having the majority of it to myself. The only debt I have is my car. I have a creditcard, I used to have several but, can't use it. I hate the idea of owing money..
The forks are from a private bloke anyway so couldn't use a creditcard to pay for them.

There's 2 of those sets of Lego, an electric 'stunt' scooter, a Nerf gun, several Tech Deck items, Air Max 95 trainers and that's just the stuff I can remember. I don't mind spending ridiculously inflated amounts of money for little blocks of interlocking plastic because it'll make him smile.. I just don't like the fat ba**ard getting all the credit!

Seems stupid to sit and wait and possibly miss out on the forks when 'interest free' is so readily available but, I really can't do it. I know if I got the balance transfer I wouldn't sleep until it was paid off lol. Debt, no matter how small, really plays on my mind! One thing I can't understand though is why haven't the forks been snapped up already? £650 for a set of £1000 forks? They're on Pinkbike too so it's not like they're hidden!
