Think I am going to take the chances, tried a large Bronson and heckler and felt right I was right on border of med and large I am 5-9 5-10 Unless the geometry is exactly the same, that means nothing...its a risk... Im 5.10 too, also between M and L and always took the risk...last 2 bikes were L...this one is M...MUCH prefer M now since my arms are not too long and i don't have great flexibility which makes a difference if you need to spend a few hours stretched forward further...if that makes sense to you...i would suggest trying to find one to test... Did you test the L size SC for a few hours or just around carpark? Did you test M as well?

Thanks rios80 for the info, just had a look at the spectral cf 9.0 sl looks a decent bike. Definitely made my Mind up to order direct depending on which I choose tho as I will get more for my money A group of us were out yesterday and we saw a guy on one...looked really sweet! There is also Radon, and Rose bikes...to name a few. The YT Capra's are really nice...the only "problem" is that because they are so nice and such great value for money, you start to see a lot of them. And i guess now that Gwinny is racing for the team, it will be even "worse". Always heard great things about Canyon...but the only issue is making sure the size fits you. Good luck!

So what did you get then? I'll post a photo when I get them on!? Lol...in the end, there was one little factor that made the difference...the Q one! Ps- too many options to choose from, is never a good thing for me!?

Just been looking at the yt bikes too look extremely well, again good reviews Shipped from states and again plenty of bike for your money Can't really beat them in terms of value for money! One of my neighbours bought the top Capra model...I think it was 3-3.5K...it's a very capable bike with 180mm Fox 36 and a X2 at the back...in fact it is probably an overkill at all times. It climbs well surprisingly tho! Canyon of course is also a good option!

I've heard good and bad things about them...but a friend of mine sold his SC Nomad (or Bronson, can't remember) for a Meta...and he loves the Meta!

After buying the workstand, it definetely makes you want to service and maintain the bike a lot better...I'll also be taking the pads out and giving them a good clean. My chain has that connector link, but I've tried to take the chain out that way and it was not easy!? Any ideas? Was I a bit naive (aka stupid) to think I could do it by hand?

Why over the Vaults? I can get the Vaults Mag with the sexy gold Ti...almost 100 gr lighter than the Ti Bugtec's and cheaper...Vaults seem to always come on top of every review...

I enjoyed Spud Alley a lot more today on the new rig! And I definitely less tired of broken than I was when I did it on the HT...which goes to show how much more comfortable and easier on your body, riding a FS is. I think we got within 10m of the gate today on the slab challenge!? I did NOT enjoyed that last climb...hard work on 32/40...for sure! A 50 sudently sounds a great idea!

It was very very wet and slippery....
I'll let Gaz tell...lol...(and don't lie!?)
Ps- now that I know what you mean by the slabs, I've cleared them before on the HT before...but it was dry as a bone! I doubt anyone could do it today!

It was a great day...got home, washed the bike and destroyed a joint of lamb...my legs are starting to seize now!? I didn't even notice what time it was when we finished. Riding at the Peaks takes it out of you.
...wish i had taken my mudguard...bad mistake that was!?

have a look at je james for tevas I picked up a pair at xmas for £40 Thanks I might even pop up their shop near me and have a look...this pedal and shoe combo is a bit of a minefield i can now see!? And unfortunately it looks like the shoes are aimed for the dry or summer weather...but not really for the UK conditions...
