Gonzalo, Have you still got chance to do a cheeky gisburn visit on your way to or from your lakes meeting?

I might be able to make this one dependant on how things go work wise earlier in the week, at the moment I'm 50/50 but will know Wednesday night.
It would be good as the Mrs is working at the weekend so it's a god way of getting a ride in.

(Neil, you mean 11-46 cassette...) John told me before he was thinking about a Whyte 130 or a Jefsy...sorry John, spilled the beans...lol FYI, YT Industries are making a great promo on all their carbon models. Canyon would be my choice...or Intense. As I already knew it was a 1x11 setup that isn't what I meant .. Although the terminology was wrong I was asking if it was a 32t single chain ring with a 46t cassette .. It's just 40t Neil. Tbh its 2 teeth less than I would normally opt for but I didn't quite notice it in the ad such was my inpatience to grab a shifter, cassette and deralliur for 95£, all new. i may not ride it so I can advertise the bike as having a un ridden drive train. On the subject of me changing my bike, I've had the scout for two years now but just changed the second bike from an enduro to an hard tail the frame was warranted twice and switched to a mega to use up the forks, the mega was too similiar as I thought it maybe and my wife who said she wanted a bike didn't ride it do when I saw a bargain Capra frame I swapped the frames out. If the scout was more of an xc whipper I would have had a good balance but again a bit too similiar. sold the Capra for a profit just about, using up lots of parts from the original hard tail, just a shame to let the mavic wheels go. Decided to sell the scout whilst it's still got a reasonable value and put the joint proceeds into one bike with a bit left over hopefully. new bike use, g was right in that I was thinking about the Jeffsy, especially wth 500 euros off taking it back below pre euro slump pricing. Then started to think about a stumpy 29 which as very similiar geometry, possibly a bit better for longer rides. Went to throw my leg over one and it reminded me what I didn't like about my last 29er. On a medium frame the wheels just lookout of proportion and the stack height is pretty high. Nearly bought the 650b version 2016 expert model one of a few left around with 30% off but for a carbon frame and decent spec it wasn't that light and couldnt really be improved. Plus the reach and top tube is pretty short, more like old school sizing. Also Gaz isn't that far off with the strive and my finger hovers over the buy button on a 8 race at really great price most of the weekend but then I found something with a better spec, a chunk lighter and little less travel that I pm hoping will be a great all rounder. it isn't black for a change so I've had to tell the Mrs because even she would notice the difference. Hope my cold finally fucks off before the bike turns up so I an ride bikes rather than talking about them.

Improved the indexing of the gears on the roadie ahead of my first post man flu ride, big improvement (the gears not my breathing which was shite). Home and shower and then back into the garage Round two, removed the 1x10 set up from the scout and replaced with a xt m8000 1*11 set up I picked up from st for a sweet price. Replaced the routed gear cables, switched cassettes nearly good to go but forgot I never got around to buying a 11 speed chain.
Sold the Capra last week so for the first time I have no rideable mtb until the chain comes.
Planning sell the scout with shiny new drive train as I've already got a replacement for the Capra lined up and hopefully this will be a capable one bike for all things type of bike,

Gaz ...I was trying to get it off the rim ..sealed with hard as nails glue methinks That's where you are going wrong then. Should be a stand type fluid rather than airfix or super glue. Put the wheel side ways on half deflated and stand on the side wall near to rim. That should shift it if you don't the grip strength or its to stubborn to squeeze it off.

By adding sealant to the tube it's only going to potentially save the smaller cuts, I would also be concerned if a thorn, nail etc whatever had penetrated the tyre and punctured the tube may also still be in the tyre will only lead to more punctures in the tube or ripping it bigger.
I was really meaning the grip and shape benefits along with the biggest tangible benefit of lower rolling Weight.
If you want to put fluid in your tubes then there are some for sale that already have the fluid added. I would expect these are mainly bought those people that don't have tubeles rims.

Oops. Time for a lemsip I think.
Meant to say it's misses most of the supposed benefits by adding sealant to the tube rather than removing them.

Sealant I'm your tubes is only helping to prevent thorn type pun tyres a shout said but adding more weight were it matters.
Missing the benefits of lowering your weight, better feel and grip and further puncture resistance through better snake bite puncture resistance by not removing your tubes.

I hope yours (Neil and Graham) doesn't last as long as mine. Over a week now and yesterday was the first day of improvement but still coughing up stuff you could use as sealant.
Two weeks no rides or gym nd getting pissed off. I'm like a caged lion and patience at a low ebb.
Hoping to make a steady plod around Gisburn on Sunday morning but might just be a few days too early still.

That looks the biz, I'm sure your going enjoy that beast. Glad to see youve fitted some crank boots, if you haven't ridden such a low by drop before you may get a few pedal strikes in your first ride or two, I didn't have much paint or many pins on my pedals after the first few rides.
Don't forget to drop a review.
Oh and welcome to the Tranny club.

Looks good, I like 3d contours to give it some perspective.
It wouldn't flow as well if you stopped to take too many photos of the scenario or your bike #gmanlikesapic.
Is it just an app that plays back your garmin files or pulls the info from strava?

Sometimes that can work, an hour on the bike can burn it through but unfortunately not going to work this time.
Just doing a little but of work with the dumb bells earlier and I couldn't get up for an hour after, same again after a bit off ball room dancing around the lounge with my daughter, totally blowing out of my arse after a couple of minutes.

Looks nice.
Getting fed up with being stuck in doors with a cold whilst we've had a spell of good weather. Not been out for a whole week already and seem be getting worse each day.
