Stay in betwys y coed, its only ten mins from the start of penmachno and the Marin. Loads of b&bs, an indian, chinese, chippy and my favourite the horse shoe, lovely burgers and you can eat drink outside. There's outdoor shops, blacks, cotwsolds etc and its about 20 miles from Snowdon. Penmachno isn't hard and loop one has the best descents. Loop 2 is like a xc ride into the wild not that keen on that, nothing in the world will prepare you for climbing Snowdon though, or coming down for that matter. Enjoy lads

I'm guessing so mate - I could do Sunday too but a lot will be at work on the Monday. Also it isn't sure yet that CYB is deffo the venue for the Satdee activities - anyone know of a b+b closer to Penmachno trails? Also a pub is an absolute necessity, us being top level athletes. Sunday night and Llandegla on the way home

I'm looking at B&B's in Betwys Coed and to get an accurate price, we need to know exactly how many are coming?
Anybody got any B&B's to recommend? Or has anybody already searched for one?

Good start.. I think we can say Pez and Adam are definites too???
If so, that's a group of 5 so far..
Just to warn you all, we will probably need to pay a deposit on a B&B.

I'm deffo, nut fussed about the B and B although we do need secure space for our bikes. Trip advisor is a good start, if I get time I'll have a look!

It basically boils down to how much we want to pay. The chances are, we'll need 2 or even 3 rooms depending on numbers and I've only looked at places that offer secure storage!

Depends how much as well I'm bloody skint this month ... That'll depend on which B&B we choose really. I'd guess at around £20 per person to make a deposit of £100?! That is just a guess though!

That barn looked good but didn't see a mention of if it was bike secure or not? worked out great at £12 each but yeah - around the £25 mark is fine by me if we don't fancy shacking up in the barn.

Not to worry, I found the link.
Looking at the pictures, we could have the bikes in the barn with us?
If folk are happy with the barn, I'll make enquiries about booking it???

Yes mate I liked the look of the barn take a chain and lock ya bikès up inside I'd be happy with that, not the first time I'd have slept with a bike I've sent an e mail asking about availability and stuff. I'll let you all know when I get a reply.
