Cheers mate. I've been promised an answer this week so, one way or the other, I'll know what I'm having to do. They have said (Hotlines) that it's a very difficult case because I can't prove that I'm not too blame but, they can't prove I am.. The guy at Hotlines has basically admitted that the decision (which will be made by Nukeproof themselves) will almost boil down to the mood of the bloke making the decision! As I stand now, I will either get a new frame for free or I'll have to buy another.. If it can't be repaired, obviously. Can't you chuck Mr Nukey a bottle of Jack Daniels or summit? Wonder if anyone else has had a similar complaint and won ?

Might be worth pointing out to them that many members of this forum are watching this with great interest. And are all wanting to build their own mega from scratch!!

Haha yes! And if they don't follow through (with the new frame I mean obviously) we will ditch our new NP builds and all just go to Halfords instead

I'll keep all this in mind.. I'm hoping to hear from somebody sooner rather than later! It's killing me having box upon box upon box of bike bits and not being able to do anything with them. I'll keep you all informed! And thanks for the support

The frame will be heading back to Nukeproof tomorrow for 'inspection'. They have also asked me to send the BB along with the frame!
The guy at Hotlines has said I'll know what's happening with it early next week!
It'll either be repaired and sent back or they'll send a new frame..

Oh right..
No, I wasn't listening.
I knew it would be one or the other anyway, just a matter of which one.
If they repair it I'll be a bit annoyed as I can do that myself in less than half the time it'll take them!

Glad to hear you're coming out of this with a win-win! I've been pushing fairly hard to get something done. With an RRP of £1600, it ain't spare change if I had to replace it. Normally, I'd take the first answer and walk away but not this time I'm still 100% sure the fault lays with the threads of the BB so it's only right they sort it really!? Thanks by the way

'No, I wasn't listening'
Charming!
At least now you know the frustration I felt whilst dealing with the 'you bent it' cocks at rockshox. With a little luck you won't have the same battle.

They'll do something. Just don't know what yet.
The frame, I'm 95% sure, is repairable so I'm kinda swaying towards them sending me a repaired frame back instead of a new one. That'll be fine by me but I will be a tad annoyed because I can repair it myself without sending it half way around the UK.
The only reason I'm sending it is because there is still (in my mind) a 5% chance it's not repairable. If I start tatting with it and can't repair it, I've nowhere to go then apart from to a bike shop to buy a new frame!
I guess it's playing it safe instead of going like a bull at a gate like I usually do..

It's the sensible way, I was hoping all along you would throw it back at them. Knowing the job you do I was pretty sure it wasn't your fault so they should repair or replace imo.
I know I'm a stroppy old git now but why should they get away with it?

Even just the front triangle wouldn't be cheap!

Really chuffed for you ..irrespective of wether you could do the job yourself ..best that they do the work for you ..so if anything related goes wrong in future you can point the finger back at them ...after all what's another two weeks out of your life ?
Working for Nestle ...did you ever come across a bloke called Eric Goodfellow ..he was one of the directors for an engineering firm who did a bit of maintenance work at Longbenton ? I've always loved that place name ..it was named after what resides inside my shreddies ! Lol
