I,would say peaks but I bet glynn is sick of the site of em reason I said Cannock is cos im fancying a change, but im up for guiding a peaks ride if its what everyone else wants. its different riding to Cannock but is fairly central to everyone who has their name down for this ride. anyone else have any suggestions? |

I can go with Black Rocks. I think we'll need some guidance though.
There is a pay and display car park at the site but I know where you can park free a couple of hundred yards away.
(No point in wasting beer money - they aren't all in Tel Aviv.)
PS Since Glynn started the thread wanting to ride at Cannock maybe that should be first choice unless there's some closure/flooding doubt?. |

ok we need a directors meeting  . when I first suggested it I wasn't aware of lots of closures. if the closures are going to ruin the ride, we can postpone Cannock till later. but if conditions dry the off piste stuff enough to make it worth while then lets go with it. if theres doubt that its worth doing then we'll make it a peaks ride, no problem. if it is a peaks ride im thinking Jacobs ladder or ladybower or ladybower/mam tor. |

Jacobs ladders an epic ladybower mbr best bits are worth a trip  I'm more inclined to a peaks but that's just me happy to do cannock if you guys want .. |

right chaps I say we let this band of rain clear in next day or two, re-access conditions,confirm who is joining us for the ride,and decide for definite by end of Wednesday.then we can make the meeting arrangements. ground conditions have been drying up nicely during the last week.

Agree - it's feckin well howling down here today though - streets starting to flood. I'll go with whatever you lads want though chances are I won't be travelling anywhere as I don't do all dayers on Friday, Sat or Sunday as a norm. We'll see.

I'm off on the 13th but the weather isn't looking great for the coming week and if you guys decide to come to Cannock to do the marked trails or the unmarked stuff, I'll probably give it a miss and have a few hours at Stile Cop or something instead. The unmarked stuff is atrocious at the minute and will be for a while. People are still riding them in this crappy weather and pretty much destroying them. It'll take a while for them to dry out and even longer before they ride nicely again  I'll keep my eyes on this thread to see what's what. |

I don't mind cannock but it's a long drive for me , especially if a fair bit of it is shut. And if it's too wet for the off piste stuff , I think we'll enjoy a peaks ride more
