Ah serves me right really rushing across to try and get a picture of one of you others falling in, bugger that didn't turn out well. If I was going to break my record of always crossing with dry feet I may as well have done it in style.
Thanks for hanging around whilst I tried my best to get dry and the loan of drying socks and the gloves from Gaz my hands were the bigger problem. I've had to gradually introduce my feet to increasingly warm water in the bath as they were pretty painful. Still could of bin worse as my waterproofs did a decent job, shame I didn't have full scuba diving gear on maybe next time.
Enjoyed the day immensely other than that swim, I thought we all did well in testing conditions, I've never seen some sections as muddy, to have no proper falls or mechanicals was a good result. Nice to meet some more new chaps, Dave and Duncan of course along with the more familiar faces again.
I'm not quite sure if have the energy to fulfil a promise later, going to have to feign sleep.

wettest I've been without it raining I think you might just have beat this today John Another cracking forum ride, hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did, thanks chaps Ah, good one Gaz! I think you are right, although it did rain a bit, hail stone etc etc but rolling in a river tops them all. i did think though that we agreed the incident should not be mentioned.

Check this out from 1.36 in, the geezer shows us how to get down those steps from the cheeky extra I took us down, no problem at all.
Then hopping across the bridge instead of taking photos of his bike on it like big lee did.
I said it looked familiar down there.
