If you can't justify the overkill off the alpine then stick with the five mate
The alpine isn't an all out upgrade or thr next model up from.the five etc it's just different so it's not like you'd be buying a lesser model etc
You won't be disappointed which ever you get

I was in love with the game ( squash) never anywhere near your standard ...but gave it up completely 20 years ago aged 39...because of my knees ... Would have loved to have played at your level though ...

Thanks man, yer squash is an awesome sport I was hooked as a kid, and the athleticism the top guys have is incredible, they realy are physical beasts! much more so than tennis hands down . its just a shame that the guys don't get the recognition they deserve nore the prize money imo, it's got a lot better last few years with the increased tv coverage but still not where it needs to be.

I like over kill. I like looking at it as a piece of engineering porn too. that's what drew me to the five as its so pretty Imo. So I can justify the money I look at it like a peace of art. When it's not being ridden I can just stare at it haha have you got a pic of your alpine ?

Yer it's a shame orange don't do white anymore I wanted white with orange livery ,but I'm pob gona go kermit green or mountain mint with black livery, although I do like the look of just plain black with orange livery, but if I'm spending that sort of cash I want it to look really special

Yeah that's the thing it's got to stand out and hardly see white ones about, suppose that's why they stopped doing it in white now

I demo'd the Alpine. It's a seriously heavy bike. I'd only want it for doing gravity work, far too much for trail centres or natural rides. What about a Whyte? T-130 just gained Trail Bike of the Year and they're also UK-made. Far better bike....for less money too. Read my initial post regarding Whyte!? To be honest, if Orange, the Four seems the most adequate one! It will still be a very adequate bike both up and down...good geometry, lighter (for an Orange!?)...Alpine is total overkill by the sounds of it! An Alpine is hardly ever a first bike, or a bike for someone who is starting to ride again!? Orange Four, or the Whyte...or completely original and the Vendetta with 27.5+ wheels for better comfort!

Lol
Motocross is much cooler! We need to go to Cannock again soon with nice weather...can't wait to go there again now that I'm getting more comfortable with the bike! Shame about the Type R! One of my colleagues has one and he loves it...no mods yet! He hardly drives it to be fair!

I just couldn't justify buying the four its the same price as the five but you get less lol .my friend has a two year old giant glory 140 MM front and rear same set up as the five but a couple years older and that's ideal and I wanted something that's going to last the orange comes with a five ur warranty should the worst happen and the five seems to be the bench mark for this sort of thing
