See too many Whytes... Got very common, and I expect more so... With the RS winning WMB trail bike of the year.... And bikes from direct... I'd never reccomend... I've had horrible experiences from Canyon, and Rose, and reading some people's experiences on YT.. I'd avoid them too!

Yeah I always went to tdi north and tuning developments both in Manchester for the civic and glanza because of the rep etc rather travel a bit and know it's done right

I just couldn't justify buying the four its the same price as the five but you get less lol .my friend has a two year old giant glory 140 MM front and rear same set up as the five but a couple years older and that's ideal and I wanted something that's going to last the orange comes with a five ur warranty should the worst happen and the five seems to be the bench mark for this sort of thing Completely disagree mate...just because it's a Four it doesn't mean you will get less...just different and to be fair an updated geometry and what it looks to be the trend lately. More than 140 travel at the rear and front, is for people who like to do really gnarly stuff!

I was looking at those the other day and drooling/dreaming on grabbing a Fatty like yours! They look so damn cool!

The Bikes fine...excellent in fact... They just messed me about for the second year in succession... On the same bike... Poor communication... Poor support... Took my money off me... And had to wait 3 months for a bike that was supposedly in stock... I'm never buying direct again... Canyon were similar!..

Believe me, it's not for everyone! Ive had a guy on another forum I used to go to, saying they look cheap, bla, bla! You feel about Ti, as I do about carbon!

Being an Engineer... I appreciate Titanium as a material completely, and making a bike frame out of it... Well that's just fannytastic!... Cheap! Pah! Jealous haters!.... I'm a reel steel man to be honest... Love the stuff... Reynolds!!

It's geo/look is similar to the Hex! I would have gone that way I think if it wasn't for the Ti addiction! Lol

Be different and get a Merida or something. if I had 3k and wanted a bîke good for 95% of the riding you'll do in the real world I'd be looking at whyte t130 or something of that ilk. The cannondale habit se looks good but the lefty fork is a marmite job. Supposed to be the stiffest mid travel fork around despite it's appearance.

I agree with Kirky here, I'm all for being different, but the Whyte has won MTB of the year. Sometimes bikes are common for a reason.

If I was spending £3k I'd just like a little more uniqueness... And you're right.. Some reviews are poor and relative only to the specific rider...

Yet I remember quite clearly, stating when we rode the resurfaced lower cliffs not so long ago, that you stated you bought your two bikes because they were uncommon.. And you enjoy the nicheness!.

The only thing I see lots of on most of the rides I do is orange, that's probably because of my location and especially around Calderdale there's a sense of local brand loyalty.
However on most of the rides I do I'm lucky if I see 3 or 4 other bikes during the ride so the chances of seeing the same bike a lot are slim. I think it may be different at a trail centre.
I got the first version of the whyte t129 due to rave reviews and looking good for a 29er, good value and all that and expected to see a lot more of those at places like Gisburn. I never came across another one whilst I was on mine. I would like to see the sales number of any given bike model for the uk, them when you factor the hundreds of thousands of places they may be being ridden on a particular day the chances of coming across the same seem far less probable. Again more people at the same handful of trail centres increases the chance significantly.
Yes the cannondale does look like a good package for less then 3k carbon frame x11' dropper and the top version of the lefty in 130mm travel. I'm just not sure of wheel availability for the lefty specific hub requirement and it would stop you using your existing sets of wheels.
When I recommended a whyte t130 I could have also thrown in the transition scout which I think is probably as capable as an orange 5 but they are quite rare on the trails and three on the forum would be too many. Lol.
