The Tracer, if I had the money, would be my dream bike. I am a bit surprised that there are no dealers in the UK though, that would put me off a bit. As I said though - if I win the feckin lottery - that's the bike for me. Utter bike perfection in my eyes and it seems it lives up to the hype as well. its also my dream bike . it gives me goose bumps but nobody has the frame option . might ring around and see if a UK stockiest can get the frame only option , if start cycles can get the frame only i can have a drive up there and try a full built up bike on for size . i didnt mention it as an option on here due to not being able to afford the factory and i wouldn't spend 8k on a bike full stop its just stupid money as my kids come first . now the frame only option i would snatch in an instant as i can then build it as lasts years model was same price as the santa cruz and evil insurgence frame @ £2800 , the 2015 frame can now be had for £2100 at a few stockists . but i want a bike thats not lats years as every bike i have has so far is the year before model . lol will give start cycles a ring .

i will rephrase lads its the frame only option on the intense there are plenty with the full builds but now way am i paying double the price for full build when i can build the same spec for half the cost . take the factory build for instance , its XX1 with XTR brakes , and the same wheels on the capra costing £800 the 2015 verision had £2000 enve wheels . i can build the factory spec for a lot less than 8k lol
I got mine from Peddlers cycles www.peddlers-cycles.co.uk/ who only had the frame in at the time, I wanted the full bike though so they ordered me a build kit from Intense. It's a great bike and has been flawless so far, another great thing is you hardly ever see any of them about.

Saw 2 yesterday TBF - that was the most I have seen in one ride. See boatloads of SC's, Yeti's, Capra's, Canyon's etc. Yesterday we saw 1 Evil and 2 Intense bikes on the same ride - I felt honoured. A female rider was on the one Intense and at first I guiltily admit to thinking - FFS -overbiked (I apologise to our female members for that ) but the rider then made me eat my words as she was a bloody superb rider and easily rode the bike to it's limits. I love the Intense brand and am bloody jealous of anyone that has one.

Start cycles have a Medium Black/Grey Expert and a Large Red Expert for £3999 reduced from £4699 both 2016 ..Also the is a 10% off everything code that works on both bikes. they are contacting me back later or tomorrow on the medium frame only or the Red Expert to tell me if they can still get them in .
Not sure i will get the 10% off the bike or the frame if they order them in . Also not sure if i will get the £3999 price on the full expert bike .
now if they can do me the frame at last years prices with the Float X evo shock then i will be a very happy man indeed . will also try and get finance on it . then its the case of selling stuff to get the other stuff for my dream bike , i.e the DT swiss 1200 Spline .
I will buy frame cash if i cant get finance or i can beg missis but then she will want to ride it and i will be on washing up and baby duties and rings that bell for her tea !!
fingers crossed

They've got a couple of medium frames at Peddlers too - started me off dreaming now - I could just swap all my kit off the Chief straight onto that frame. FFS. Must. Walk. Away. From. Thread.

Don't want to throw a spanner in the works but have you thought about a transition patrol carbon. Nicer looking than the tracer imo and has had some good reviews. My next bike for sure

I realise this is just opinion, but I prefer the looks of the Intense, tbh. Always preferred bikes with the 'inline' shock rather than over the BB. Just me, loike.

You only live once and dreams are meant to come true !! I might even get the 2015 frame yet just like leedodds1 can be had for £2100

All subjective innit, both good looking bikes Oh 100% mate - and if someone offered me a Transition at a price I could afford I'd snap their hand off. As you say, very subjective - perhaps THE most subjective thing in MTB - looks of a bike. If we're talking dream bikes though - only one for me.

Saw one of these out today Evil bikesbloody gorgeous (though I thought the owner had gone a bit far with gold chain and brake hoses - just my opinion) also an Intense. The Intense in particular I would love to own. Your shout though. Insurgent? The insurgent is a lovely looking bike, it would just be the supposed unreliability and shoddy customer service that would put me off

Always preferred bikes with the 'inline' shock rather than over the BB. Same here...not only i don't like the look, but it always makes me think how vulnerable the shock stanchion is on that location where a lot of mud/crap/pebbles get deposit. Doesn't seem right!? Its a bit like the Foxy...awesome bike but its even worse on this one. But the Patrol is a nice bike...really like the look of the Tracer, but really don't like the new Spider 275C...the design around the seat tube is just very odd. When you guys speak about these expensive frames, it makes mine actually sound like a bargain!?

Sounds like a plan, Stan.
If you do though, you owe me...I steered you away from the common choices. You at least owe me a go on yours when you finally come down to Roojelly.

The shock i will be the Float X evo start cycles have just got back to me this second . bit gutted to say the least . they have the Large Expert online for £3999 - £3499 (was £4699) now with 10% off and the 2016 model . they have the Black in a medium for same price . now they contacted me saying they can get the medium in red 2016 colors for £2899 , fecking hell bit steep like when 2015 model was only £2600 . also the medium expert full bike is now £5199 . all this is due as they have a new supplier and they have charged more than the previous . they also say that the tracer is the last tracer and is being fazed out and a new bike is coming out to replace it in a couple of months . damn now im thinking santa cruz bronson for £2500 from them .

That's a shame, I got my 2015 pro at the start of 2016 with a huge 30% saving on RRP due to being last years model.
Start had a couple of nice US build Nomads in for less than £4000, might be worth a look. Are you dealing with Brad?

Not sure as im chatting via facebook message . MY mind is now made up and in the back of my head it was always number one choice . I miss priced this bike having £800 wheels but the wheels actually costs £1500+ as its £900 for rear and 600-700 for front . with the rest of the components this adds up to over £4400 and thats without the frame . so for me its a no brainer . as even if i dont like the frame and Geo i can just strip it and then buy the frame of my dreams .

It sure is . Everything about the frame fits my body frame . I have a inseem of 29-30 , 5'10 short reach ,average torso and a very large head. Going to be testing one out tomorrow as arranged to meet someone who has one .. I can order it today and as it takes a few days for invoice to come through I can always cancel the order . I will be testing a 2015 version with boss front and back suspension so need to keep an open mind and just concentrate on the fitting of the bike .

New bike is now ordered , wasnt possible getting intense frame as its being phased out and a new bike coming from intense in few months . just repeating what he said .he could of ordered me the frame atr £2900 but would take a month through new supplier, nearly got the bronson frame with £300 off price but now i will enjoy the Capra .
it ticked all the boxes and this is the bike that will stop me buying new bikes every 12-18 months as i will just buy a frame and transfer the parts as the parts are just insane for the money along with a £1600 set of carbon rims . cant bloody wait . just have to wait for invoice and pay now .
thanks for all the input .
