Did you run lower pressure(s)than you normally would ? The same i did with Mavic's. 29/30 rear, 24/25 front. Turned one click less rebound on the forks since i was getting quite a lot of pins and needles on my hands. I wonder if its due to the stiffness of the wheels ?! Might start to tinker and putting another volume spacer on the fork and reducing pressure at some stage. When you getting the new beast?

Damn boy they are FATTTTTT! Very nice ...and SWEEEEEEET...i know you want some Enve's...seriously, consider these! less than half price, choice of hubs and colours, 20% off at the moment, great reviews...(he was explaining to me why they are as good if not even better than Enve's). If you see them live, you will understand what i mean. Its like i turned the bike into a plus bike almost. I even know they are going to get some black ones with dark grey graphics that would go really well on your bike?! LOL

Yes, the brakes look a bit too vertical but it changes as I sit in the bike a bit...however I did think of that before you mentioned...nee to have a look!

I can't wait to see all the Enve wheel owners when they see my sixth elements....widely touted as better than Enves..... Well, widely touted by G, at least.

Not by me...by Graham who is the owner of SE, and a carbon geek who explained to me his reasons...I also know a rider who broke some Enve's who now runs SE... I'm not one to argue...one thing I know! They look and feel quality, no cheap stickers (even though the Enve stickers are awesome!?) on CK hubs for almost a third of the cost...enough said!

LOL Yeah I'll defenatly consider them when wheel shopping, I'm afraid new wheels have been put on hold due to moving house but hopefully next session i'll be sporting some carbon hoops. Cheers Lee

But surely, you are not interested are you, with some new Enve's? Unless you are planning to treat your missus?...in case you don't know, you can choose the size of the graphics, and the colour! And they are not decals.

No, it's not wider than the casing. They do now an even wider one at 40 mm external. I'll try and get a photo for you. I'm running HRII 2.3 at the front and IKon 2.35 on the rear.

I'd read that a lot of 2.3-2.4 tyres would bulge too much on anything wider than i30. Interesting. Only as i'm looking into wheels atm. I really like these wheels and how they feel. They appear to give more traction (however I changed the tyres) more comfort for sure, and no doubt the hubs are very good and it rolls fast specially when you pump the bike... Wouldn't want to go wider tho! Difficult for me to justify 1.4K extra for some Enve's when I'm not sure if the advantages (if any) even exist!?

Apparently up to 3inch tyres! But once you ride them with a 2.3 tyre I doubt you would want more! You will understand what I meant when you throw a leg over the steed!?

Still very impressed with the wheels...after some good abusive rides, checked them and they are still very true. Really easy to set tubeless...only pain is to actually put the tyres on (Maxxis specially) due to the width of the rims...there is only so much a tyre can stretch! No doubt that these hubs make a difference too. Obviously a lot of money for wheels, but when you think that the CK hubs alone are over 500 quid...
You can check this weeks "what mountain bike" for a comparison test with E' thirteen...I don't subscribe so if anyone does, let us know what they say!?
