I'd try 799 mm ..perfect ! Looks a good starting point. 1mm per week! No chance of over doing it then.

They weren't half as expensive as i was expecting! Not bad, the new Renthal stuff does seem to be really good but you'll never beat Enve for bling... Looks super nice that, cant wait to see the wheels!

ENVE DH Minnaarbar Impact Test:
You'll have to copy and paste this link I think.
Not the same bar but you get the idea.

I've got Renthals on my 456. The only time I've used my torque wrench was when fitting them.
Can't say I'm worried about them to be honest.

Don't cut that bars! At least not right away. I put some Chromag carbon bars on mine, 800mm wide and had them like that for a few rides now - local routes and a trip to BPW - and they're brilliant that wide, feel like I can really throw the bike into the corners, haven't felt myself getting a little too close to the trees though, saying that, when I went to Cannock I remember it getting quite narrow..

Keep em wide! Good reason to stay away from Cannock and explore if they don't fit!
Taking mine to wharncliffe next week then hammers and a trip to BPW all booked. Will then decide what width, if they ride well then I will happily stop and squeeze through gaps on the rare occasion I can't fit

My bars catch in places at Cannock, there only 740mm.

I don't plan on cutting them straight away. I'll see how 800mm works for me first!
A lot of what I ride at Cannock, which is my main haunt, is fairly tight singletrack so I have to consider that!
I don't really want to stop every two minutes to angle myself through trees.

Anything over 740 will catch at Cannock, buy a set of enve trail bars for Cannock then keep swapping bars depending on location lol

To be fair, I'll probably carry on using my 456 at Cannock unless it's blazing sunshine and there's no chance of mud.

My bars were 780mm uncut, I couldn't even get them through the 2 trees at that practise ramp, start of twist and shout! Even allowing for the fact that you are a better rider than me, I'll be amazed if you keep them at 800mm, considering some of the tight, off piste, singletrack we normally ride.

That's what I was thinking! I'll try 'em at 800mm obviously but, I've no doubt at all that they'll be cut down!
