No way... The e-mail said that the frames had literally just been delivered and are being unpacked and will be despatched by Friday.. Will you still order having to wait till after Christmas? singletrack bikes will match the 10% off and have a couple of XL's, one medium and a few small available within a week or so Good stuff. I did look there but could only find complete bike, no frames. I guess I should have called them! Who needs a toolbox anyway, eh? lol

That's an awesome spec! Although from the horror stories I've heard (granted if you read enough mtb related stuff you will find at least 1 horror story for every single component!) I'd be going for Fox 36's despite the horrendous service intervals. I know very little about either Fox or Bos. What horror stories have you heard about Bos? Servicing problems etc? I've never really used Fox until recently when I got a set of 32's.. I know people rave about the higher end Fox forks and I'd love to try out a set of 36's before deciding what to buy. What are the recommended service intervals btw? The forks will probably be the first thing to buy on my list so I'd best get a move on haha.. Yeah servicing and return (mainly warranty based) problems, this isn't from personal experience of course, purely from what I've read - I think Pete (getonyourbike) has had some experience with them. I don't recall whether this was good or bad. Fox have their fan boys as do all other brands but I really like mine (36 TALAS - i've heard the Floats are even better!) maybe I'm not experienced enough to know whether they are good or bad but to me they work great and make the ride super comfortable. I think 36's are recommended every 30 hours, which if you pardon my French, is fucking ridiculous!!! No one, ever is going to do that!! This is just for an oil change - damper service is recommended every 100 hours or annually. service.foxracingshox.com/consumers/Content/service_intervals.htm

Pikes represent excellent value/performance. Fox perform excellently other than the 2012/13 evo 32's. ... but come with a premium...

I've only read good things about Bos to be honest.. Bikeradar said they were some of the best forks they've tested but that was back in 2011. There are worries about who can service them in the UK but apart from that, they seem highly regarded!
Fox just confuse me, Talas this, Float that, CTD the other, FIT, Kashima, OC, remote OC... Blah, blah, blah..
I don't like Pikes purely because of the black stanchions. They are good forks but I wouldn't buy them personally!

The new 2015 Fox 36. That's where it's at!.. If I was building a bike I would choose them, however I will be buying complete this time and sram dominate everything now on complete bikes, pikes, monarch plus, reverb stealth, guide brakes, XO1. I happen to also think it looks smart that it's all completely black after originally hating it

But I build my own bikes to my own spec, represents better value/spec when I'm concerned..

Don't think building bikes is ever value for money, it's to hard to not keep overspending on the next level up components and the bike ends up twice as much as a complete offering. Might end up better spec but its not better value

Might end up better spec but its not better value definitely! My mate has just ordered a 2015 Cube Stereo 160 TM. It costs £2.7k and is a hell of a lot of spec for the money. I think individual parts came to almost £5k!!

Always been the opposite for me.. I plan a budget buy the parts... Sometimes obviously your transferring parts but a good rule is.. Don't get tempted by bling! and I've always managed to get equal spec... For cracking prices.

My TR450 cost £4k brand new.
I have changed forks, wheels twice, brakes 3 times, bars 3 times, stem twice, seatpost, seat, 3 sets of grips, 4 mechs etc etc
it is only really the mechs that have been replaced due to being damaged, the rest have been bought because I wanted to change them. Bike has probably cost me around £6k to get it to what it is now!!!
I wonder how much it would have set me back if I had just bought the frame
