Well its at the shop, getting built up and should hopefully be with me between Friday and Monday Then I just have to gorilla tape the rims up, go tubeless, helitape around rub areas (cable and heel) and maybe to top and down tube First ride out will be the 6th/7th. Wharncliffe or Gisburn, will be taking it steady though as I'm only 5/6 weeks out of having my collar bone plated, feel fine but cant afford to crash on it Will leave it a ride or two before I start changing things like bars/grips/saddle

Looks stunning, 11 gears too eh? very posh. I love the single linkage on these bikes, looks much cleaner and simpler.
Surely, on a bike like that though, the rims will be tubeless ready? should be just a matter of changing the valves and pouring the Stans in ?

It's a beaut! I know you like to be co-ordinated ..but hell buying a bike just because it matches the colour of your 5 moderator stars is taking things a little far....

Tubeless compatible rims yeah but come with a factory rim strip that doesn't seal the spoke holes 90% of rims still need taping, could easily bang a stans one in but gorilla tape is like £2 and the roll covers a few rims

Went up first time and been fine since, s'pose it doesn't hurt to put more tape on though for extra insurance.

What size front ring are you running? I take it this is your trail bike then? In fact, put up the specs for us - I love a drool over a new bike

Steep seat tube angle, slack front

That's some spec - it looks the perfect do it all - more suited to a bit of DH than my Chief, deffo. Euan said the Guides feel better than his XT's! Built in pussy cog too - I like it!

Liking it alot!
I'm a few rides into the Guides now and i'm loving them, more powerful than the XT's with better modulation and I haven't felt them fade yet, they also have a similar lever to the XT's which is a good thing. Time will only tell if they have managed to solve the old Avid issues but so far so good.

When you get it, can you let me know where the hose for the Reverb exits the frame, please?
I've never dealt with the stealth version and can't see anywhere obvious on my frame for the hose to come out.
I've checked the NP website 3 times now and it definitely has routing for one!

I'm unfortunateley the bearer of some bad news here....having had my colour chart out this afternoon...Im afraid the bike is more Kermit than Hulk. Dont ride past any pig farms ...it could be carnage!

Well, don't I look a fool..
Yeah, it's there but in my defence, there is a rubber plug in it so it's hard to see..
Thanks
