Well, it's been over a week now mate.. Still loving it? How are the brakes? Anything you want to change? Well I did some time at market rasen free ride park and I have just locked it up (still dirty!) after a day at gisburn I want, to want to change things if that makes sense as it's an off the shelf bike but I can't justify it, most things are as I want them, need to go bigger than 32 for the front ring. Brakes are awesome coped with a freezing, soaking and gritty gisburn just fine, the XO1 is lovely, just all round it's perfect for me. Plus the pikes and debonair monarch plus feel like buttery smooth bottomless coil action when fully open Tyres are draggy. It's heavy but the only real week link are my legs, not ridden xc since March so I ache now, maybe Cannock on 21st if you fancy it It all sounds pretty good then.. I remember my 2012 Mega being on the heavy side but it always gave me the impression that no matter what you did to it, it'd just get up and carry on.. Tough as old boots! Glad you said the brakes are good. I've been thinking about them for mine! I usually buy Hope brakes and was originally planning on E4's but the Guides look good and it would be nice to have all SRAM stuff! I'd have broke up from work by the 21st so if you're down here, I'll definitely join you! What you coming down for? XC or DH? Only asking because I've just got a hardtail at the moment!

I'll be coming to do the xc loop, no big air time for me before Xmas. Mrs would kill me

Good stuff!
We can do some of the unofficial trails if you fancy 'em.
Best see what condition the're in a bit closer to the time though. They suffer bad with rain!

After speaking to one of the lads from my local bike shop, i'd put some helitape up along the toptube and over the edges, he has the same bike and has already wore the paint away with his knees rubbing on the top tube. It's a bolody good bike though and much lighter than I thought it would be!

Mudguard - FFS.
I'm glad I'm not coming to Ard Rock now. I've got my street cred to consider.

Back on track... Nelly, how are the Guides holding up? Still rate them?
Was looking at them and one of the clamps to mount the shifter on 'em. It's a bit early I think but I'm wondering about problems with bleeding them in the long term!
I want 4 pot brakes and at the moment it's between Guides and Hope E4's.

I don't know anyone in "real life" if you would, that has the guides... I'm eagerly awaiting a decent every day riders review!..
