I was intersted in this ride 'til I saw the last pics.. ! My technical climb ability is currently rated at 'as agile as a mountain sloth' so I think I'll leave this one for another month or three.

That looks like a seriously gruelling epic ride today Gaz. Is there anyway we can do all often goods it's but keep it to around 3500/4000ft climbing? Don't worry I don't plan to include the Martindale loop, it is just an option I wanted to have a look at as last time I couldn't ride it as there was a pair of stag's rutting on the bridleway and about 50 people watching them.They would have been a tad upset if I'd have carried on so I turn round. I was intersted in this ride 'til I saw the last pics.. ! My technical climb ability is currently rated at 'as agile as a mountain sloth' so I think I'll leave this one for another month or three. It's a lot easier than the Grizdale route you rode last year

It's years since I have done that ride..but it is a corker ..you should get yourself on it Graham ... Those Lakeland blokes are tough nuts ..fighting over a woman at that time of day ...should have been in the pub still with the rest of the stag party ...

Somebody could always take a dip in the lake itself! I would love to get that on film.

However, what I'm thinking is that it would be great to combine it with one of those times when I will need to do the long drive to Workington, which is quite near...then I could stay a night at a hotel, and get everything paid on my expenses, including fuel, food...lol! Every time I go there and drive through the Lake District, I'm always stunned by how amazing it looks!

Get yourself up there Zulu in a couple of weeks. It's not too tough of a circuit and they won't all be supermen on the day.
Actually on the subject , who's a definite or just a maybe so far.
From memory I can only remember;
Gaz Manf Myself, Glynn's commented but not made it crystal that he's coming. Anybody else or is everybody waiting to see the forecast (that's normally my trick).

Wish I could Kirky - all day rides at the weekends are a no-no for me, I'm afraid. Midweek only. Local runs and home for 1.30 is the deal - all dayers are for midweek.
