I obviously had a much better time at home, cooking, washing, cleaning and looking after my two young girls who's main goal is to destroy the house...obviously!
At least the bike is back with the replaced front brake, cables done and I have added a volume spacer to the shock (piece of piss btw!)

Not half as good as mine ...now snowblind from painting the kitchen ceiling brilliant white..with a grocery shopping trip to round the day off nicely ( the karting session having been postponed until the school Easter Holidays) Looked crap anyway..... |

What a fantastic day! Thanks Gaz for organising this The day had everything as usual. Great company, new and old faces, banter, scenery, punctures, large rocks, small rocks, mud, steep hills, decents, ramblers, helicopters, cramp, horse race commentary, Pooley bridge diversions and falling off my bike lol Did I miss anything else? great pics there manf liking the ones on the move heres some of my best ones  trying to put some of the hills into perspective  graeme recovering his bike after the rockstar type stagedive, but into bushes  gaz and paul doing the gentlemanly thing. this was a tough push, it felt like 1 step forward 2 back  john descending boredale  gaz descending boredale  having a breather on the return leg  random walker admiring the view |

Not far off as I had an off on the techy lakeside and rolled down the hill a little (video clip to come) but stopped short of the lake. Got your socks put to one side mate. I hoped to pass them to you on a ride but If you need them I can post them to you. I've got a couple of dates to have a mid week ride over the next two weeks if you fancy a peaks ride or a trip around Rivington or settle/clapham way. |

I look like I had shat myself cos I couldn't bend my legs at the knee!! The name gaz seems synonymous with double and triple hard bastard climbs, I often wondered why they call it mountain biking. Need to shift stone in weight I put on over Christmas and sat at a desk at work might just be able to keep up then.

gaz how much climbing did you record? my garmin measured just over 4000ft. i suspect its nearer 3000.my device is good at most things but is crap at measuring accurate altitude.

My Garmin recorded 3832ft but we started from Pooley bridge so had the road climb back up to the parking spot. I think it's a little optimistic but my legs didn't |
