The plan so far! Pooley Bridge is still without a bridge so there is a diversion in place. You need to leave the M6 at J40 and then instead of following the sign for Ullswater/Keswick you need to follow the road markings for the A66E towards Scotch Corner\Brough and pick up the diversion from there after the second roundabout. Parking is right at the start of the bridle way.Just before to get to Pooley take a left turn then follow sign for Hill Croft caravan site,go passed the site until you reach a dead end, then you have arrived! Postcode CA10 2LT should take you to the caravan site Meet at 10-10:15 for 10.30 start I've pm people my mobile number in case they need it. Weather looking OK at present

I'll be in touch with Russell this evening, but he was pretty certain last weekend. So that would be Jaco (Paul), Russell and moi all in Paul's van. That's all from the north-eastern massiiiive, Hodgy and Colin on domestics, Dave n Jean at 40,000ft on way home from ski-ing. Ant and Andy have other business (not together!) but I can't remember what they is. Very looking forward!

when I stop consuming vast amounts of carby foods (paella, with wedges, garlic bread done, desert and Doritos outstanding), I will try and edit some of the go pro footage and stick it up it could be a while though.
Oh, great ride, great company as always and a great day. Kept dry and if I hadn't jinxed us with saying that no body's had a mechanical, a physical or an off, quickly follow by two offs, two puncture and a cramping it may have run problem free.
I think we need to sort a stay out in the Patterdsle youth hostel it looked perfect for a ride over to Hellavyn and then could tackle today's ride the next day or vice versa.

That's an awesome idea...just for info, I now stay at a great B&B in Workington who not only has a great cooked breakfast, is clean, great beds but also an great secure garage in the bike to store bikes...costs around 43 quid a night! Just an idea as well!

Think is yon could leave you gear and car at the youth hostel and ride right from the door and climb up the valley to Hellavyn and passed the front door of it on today's ride, saves staying somewhere where you have to drive over and then find parking. Parking or at least free parking is difficult around the riding spots and will be more do as we move towards summer.
Oh the there's s pub just down the road we well, also have a bike lock up.

Totally fooked! An epic, and great day. Really enjoyed it, at the end! The suffering will be forgotten as always, the good memories won't. I didn't see a lot of anyone else's hero skills from where I mostly was, but special mention has to go to Gaz. First class trail leading pal, I'll never forget all of that. Manf, you too pal, will always be a privilege to ride with such a magnificent crew, and that means every one of you. But you all missed out on the Juniper experience! Well worth the barrel roll off the track for that perfumed loveliness I'm sorry that Mike had to suffer the most pain, but also a little bit glad for the company when I was not able to climb the bastard Hause, and others, at all... Salute to everyone

Didn't take a camera today but got some intermittent shots from the Gopro. following the famous Manf down the first descent. Behind Jacko heading back to Pooley bridge Heading down a nice descent from Bause hill, or something like that. Whatever its called it was bloody good. Slightly rocky start lol. Techy shore bridleway More to follow
