Im not a massive fan of the Pink tbf... ill probably get it painted early next year, when ive ragged it about a bit. I think it is cool...a bit of a statement that "i don't give a sh1t"... Now, regarding that HRII...? lol |

Got the Ardent on the rear of my Alpine.. not bad for damp conditions and quick on the trails. Never had an ikon.. ignorantly because the people ive know who have used them, have said theyre not very good |

Can fully recommend the Ardent on the rear (got it on the Bird) crackerjack of a fast, predictable rear tyre.

i once did a ride on a Five...albeit it was a night ride, very muddy...even so, i did like it! Felt very planted and ready for whatever...the Four does look nice and a great choice. However, if i was going aluminium, i would grab a Banshee anytime...steel, Cotic Rocket.

I've always thought they were ugly ...even when I "liked" them ...
I went to a demo day at Kielder to test ride one ( first time I met Russell who was testing a Process)...Orange,Kona& Cruz were there ...
The Orange rep went to great lengths with the set up on the bike ( they had just gone to a 650b wheel size )..to ensure I had a good ride .
As one of the most iconic (British) bikes of the last 20 years and having read and heard so much about them I really,really wanted to like this bike ...my disappointment was immeasurable ..it was like riding a plank of wood ...fast ..yes ..a lot quicker than my Nomad ..but just so harsh in comparison ...
A major let down ...and I couldn't lie to the rep who wasn't too chuffed...
Now the 5010 ....have I ever mentioned that bike ...? Lol

We get that you don't like it , I'm sory my choice of bicycle doesn't meet you satisfaction, i struggling to see your point just because you don't like it doesn't mean anything really and it sounds to me that it's been along time since you rode one geometry and suspension tunes have changed a lot since then so you don't really have a true feeling for what the new five really is, I'm sorry I didn't buy a Santa Cruze which is about £1k more expensive just to meet your approval, I don't like Santa Cruze bikes they all look the same zero character they do nice paint jobs but personally I don't see the fascination wouldn't buy one with my money

I'm giving my opinion on a bike that I test rode fairly recently ...if you paid attention you would see that it wasn't too long ago ( when they changed to 650b wheels) ...
Hope you are happy with your choice ...
