Assume you guys have read this: enduro-mtb.com/en/whyte-t130c-rs-carbon-130mm-trail-bike-review/(I'm sure the Ali version is as good!?) On mtb'ing I'm a firm believer that you are as good as: 1-natural talent that you are born with 2-training, lung capacity and muscle on your legs 3-size of your balls The very vast majority of us are all over-biked!

I think 0% finance deals are terrible... as for one, they kill the second hand market, for two they encourage talent lacking riders to buy the best bike money can buy, then injure themselves.. all the gear no idea.. I think it gives people the chance to own bikes they could not before And so may it continue as for making people do more crazy nar you can hurt your self on anything

All the more reason for us MTB Gods to turn the trails into Hero Dirt when we are riding them on our lowly Bird's or Nukeproofs or whatever

Yes there are people out there who have natural God given talent who can ride any machine to the max. Then there are others like myself who don't have anywhere near the talent of these riding gods and who without the benefit of an expensive full suspension bike to make up for our shortcomings wouldn't be able to tackle half the stuff we do .. Is there really anything wrong with that ?

Is there really anything wrong with that ? Of course not! Bikes are like everything else in life...you buy what you like and can afford (this one is open for discussion if my wife actually knew how much the new project costed in the end!? Lol)...one example is the over-priced I phones...much cheaper and better phones (in terms of spec) out there...but they don't look as good and are as easy to play with! Same thing could be said about cars, clothes...every type of consumable! The important thing is to ride no matter how expensive or not the bike is! One of my best mates who I ride with, has 10+ year old bike, hardly ever cleans/washes it let alone maintain it...he is the best rider I've ever ridden with...mainly due to the point 3 I've mentioned previously! Lol

I wouldn't ride that though.. just hang it up... I'd hate to spend 6-7K on a bike then not be able to sell it for 50% of what you bought it for.. a year later

Now that would be almost a crime!?! Lol I sold my Ti Van Nicholas HT, a year later for what it cost me! It's all about buying it at the right price to start with!

Which whyte was it? I wouldn't mind testing the 130rs carbon works but expect it to be a lighter version of the scout with a little less travel up front. Also I have promised myself not to buy a new bike until they others worn into the ground. I demo'd the 129 (pish) and the 130-RS a couple of weeks ago, took the 130 out most of the day as it was great fun! The G160 is probably the only reason i'd go the LL demo this year now. The new G-160 is some weapon! Got mine Saturday and when you get it up to speed, it's just insane how hard you can push it. The Cannock demo loop definitely won't show it's best side though. Needs wild trails and/or high speeds to show what it can do.

Same here. If I'm still riding when the Chief drops to pieces (if it ever does, pretty good build quality on the Rose bikes) then I'll look seriously at testing bikes - the Aeris and the Whyte T130 ranges are the first I'd want to look at. The top Aeris and the T130RS especially, the 130mm Whyte is as much as I need with what I ride, tbh. Whyte T130RSI've got one of them, I've got one of them

when they have a demo day at dales bike centre you just book the bike you want to try and then go out on a guided test ride. and it`s free but you still have to pay for the cake afterwards

Why do you want to swap it in the first place? What is wrong with such lovely bike? Next time, go Ti! Lol...you won't feel like swapping your bike every year!? Lol
