Wow great day bit cold when you was standing about waiting for a bike Was good to numb in to the Cannock chapter Few pics Just loved this bike loads of bike crazy money but wow that thing just begs to be ridden hard .. Felt so planted .. The 5010 trail bike so bloody fast was riding like I stole it Ian loved this and hated the nomad the nomad is for gods just fking awesome .. Couple of yetis I rode the black 6 and Ian was on the 5 Great bikes peddling is so easy on them .. Just the front end didn't give me the confidence to push it as hard as I would like think it just needs setting up as the fox 36 felt very stiff but lacked feel .. Get me talking bollocks lol Come on Ian do keep up Alpine Ian rode .. I rode the 4 nice bike felt a bit to soft lol very fast and light or feels light and very chuckle What can I say about these pair fantastic bikes med is just to small but boy you can chuck it about and it's so pin point when riding it over the rocky stuff near the top of my shopping lists;) the large felt bang on .. Any way tested a few other bikes some nice one some not so nice ones Great day and well worth the 15 notes to try lots of bikes

So what was your favourite. Dam 5010 was a scream so fast I was like a bloody hooligan on it so much fun stupid grin fun, had some Lycra fast boys try and chase me down ... He wasn't smiling when I just pushed it and went like a nutter I'm normally a very steady plodder lol but the nomad just did it for me massive over biked for the chase and I could not ever get near half it potential of what that bike could do but out it just screams at you to ride it faster .. Poor lady shit her pants on the chain slapped I came down it that fast she nearly crashed trying to get out my way she said a rude word i did stop at the end and say sorry but I was having that much fun on it bangs for for bucks I would say the rs 130 is a great bike and would be tempted .. For a trail bike ..

You have just confirmed what I've been saying for the last year Gaz ... The 5010 is the best bike I've ever ridden ..period ..and that's coming from a Nomad owner ( albeit a 1st generation)

The 5010 is the best bike I've ever ridden ..period ..and that's coming from a Nomad owner ( albeit a 1st generation) Ian loved the 5010 I think I would kill my self on it it's a bloody lunatic bikes fast as fool think the nomad would be faster down but the 5010 climbs better .. But saying that I'm used to riding a five 29er which weights a ton so it didn't bother me on the climbs .. Chatting to the orange chaps , about my 29er and he was saying they are planning something special lighter 29er slacker as well

I also thought the 5010 climbed brilliantly..I had a 2015 model for a week and didn't want to give it back ..this year's model is supposed to be even better with an extra inch and 10mm more bounce.. I also thought even with less travel it was much more capable on the downs that my Nomad ..but then she is very heavy too and showing her age compared to the younger babes out there !

I had the Highball, I've sold in the last week or so, I've also tried a Bronson and another I forget the name of at Rutland, before I bought my Alpine.

Well I guess you couldn't say you haven't tried them ...shame the 5010 isn't on that list ..it might have changed your mind ..

Think it's a case, of you have to try them... To see.. I haven't tried the full range obviously. Carbon always feels to light and flimsy for me.. The Bronson had the 32 evos on, which are complete tosh!... And a not too exciting Groupset, which you could obviously change... But imo they're overpriced and underspecced, as a full mode for £5k The Whytes for me offer the best money/performance. And I'd like to try the yeti as I've never ridden one, but I imagine they're in the same group as the SC.

Malamute great offer - but we are off riding the cheekies today. As stated before I don't do demo's in case it leaves me wanting a new bike I can't afford and I'd rather have a day on me own bike - even though it's a free offer! we might bump into you (like we did Marmite and Ian) as we are out we'll probably have a mooch about the stalls again. If I was in the market for a bike... I love the look of the T130's and Marmite said they are a great trail bike, the SC's looked very nice but so much money. Shame Bird haven't got the Auris there as I'd be torn between the Whyte and the Bird. Oh and sorry Neil, at the risk of angering you...the E bikes looked absolutely fuck ugly they might be great to ride but being a tart, looks of a bike are quite important to me, I'd have to be desperate and on me last legs to even consider one - soz mate - just my opinion of them.

I'd literally kill my mother for a Nomad! You would love the nomad mate as you ride an AM bike it's such a stunning bit of kit crazy money But the wife said I could have one but not until I've paid my credit card bill off If you you get the chance mate take one for a demo ride and try the 5010 as well as that's so bloody fast bit skittish but in a crazy fun way

Pez ...like I have already said I don't really give a toss what anyone thinks ..beauty being in the eye of the beholder ..and you are perfectly entitled to your opinion .. HOWEVER ... Bird bikes have to be the most butt ugly range on the market..but get rave reviews for how they actually ride..not too much in the way of a difference really?

We decided at the end to try the ebikes just for a laugh hahha The batteries had all gone flat and he had 7 spare batteries as well .. But he did say some of the selfish riders where doing 10/ 15 miles and one bloke had gone out for over an hour and took the piss doing 20 miles on the bike He could only apologise that none were ready to ride ., But at 750 notes for a new battery that's a lot of money when they die and are out of warranty..,

Not all ebike share the hunched look the giant e bike is just like a trance but with battery and the Scott spark e is as it says a normal spark with battery and motor.

Classic old Skool looks... I'd have one if they did a Reynolds version!... Although I admire the engineering in E-bikes... I'd be kind of embarrassed to have one..

Same with Orange and a few other manufacturers. I costed up buying a SC frame with a full xt groupset, pikes, reverb, etc and it was cheaper than buying the equivalent full bike. Especially when said frame got £700 knocked off in the sales. I do like the look of the new Whytes.

Think ebikes have a place if you've got a disability or something but if your an able body person then no they don't have. A place on the trails
